Advocacy in Mediation II (Presenting and Negotiating Effectively)

90 Minute Webinar / 1.5 MCLE Credit Hours

with Lee Jay Berman

Advocates in mediation present their cases differently, but they must be laid out differently than they are at trial.  Different facets of the case should be emphasized.  Client presentation can also be important.  And once the settlement discussion has begun and the negotiation begins, advocates must be careful not to doom a mediation for failure with their opening offer, and then they are expected by their clients to negotiate artfully to a settlement that the client wants and that the other side doesn't want them to get.  No easy task.  Join us for tips from Lee Jay Berman, a 16-year mediator who has successfully mediated 1,400 cases and can tell advocates what works and what doesn't.
